Founded on October 3, 1991, under the Societies Registration Act, SGVK operates in the Palamu region of Jharkhand, inspired by Gandhian ideology and the Total Revolution led by Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan. Emerging from youth movements like Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Vahini (CYSV) and later Mazdoor Kisan Sangharsh Vahini (MKSV), SGVK advocates for the rights and development of Dalits, tribals, backward classes, women, and children.SGVK strives to combat poverty, illiteracy, superstition, and hunger while empowering marginalized communities to lead lives of dignity and self-reliance.
